ZİHİNSEL ENGELLİ BİREYLER DESTEK EĞİTİM PROGRAMI
Program, kavramsal, sosyal ve pratik uyum becerilerinde eksiklikleri ya da sınırlılıkları olan, bu özellikleri 18 yaşından önceki gelişim döneminde ortaya çıkan ve özel eğitim ile destek eğitim hizmetlerine ihtiyaç duyan zihinsel yetersizliği olan her yaştaki bireylerin özellikleri dikkate alınarak hazırlanmıştır.
PROGRAMIN GENEL AMAÇLARI
Bu program ile bireylerin;
1. Bağımsız yaşam becerileri kazanmaları,
2. Öz bakım ve günlük yaşam becerilerini kazanmaları,
3. Psikomotor becerilerini geliştirmeleri,
4. Dil ve konuşma becerilerini geliştirmeleri,
5. Sözlü ve yazılı anlatım becerilerini geliştirmeleri,
6. Sosyal ve toplumsal uyum becerilerini geliştirmeleri,
7. Bilişsel hazırlık becerilerini geliştirmeleri, amaçlanmaktadır.
PROGRAMIN YAPISI
Zihinsel Yetersizliği Olan Bireylerin Destek Eğitim Programı, bireylerin programın genel amaçlarına ulaşmalarını sağlayacak çeşitli modüller ve bu modüllere yönelik kazanımlardan oluşmaktadır. Modüller bireyselleştirilmiş eğitim programı hazırlama ve uygulamaya imkân sağlayacak şekilde, kendi içerisinde bütünlüğü olan ve birbirini işlevsel olarak tamamlayacak yapıda hazırlanmıştır. Modüllerde yer alan kazanımlar bireye kazandırılacak bilgi, beceri ve tutumlardan oluşmaktadır.
ÖĞRENME VE ÖĞRETME SÜRECİ
Programın amacına uygun olarak yürütülebilmesi için öğrenme ve öğretme sürecinin etkili olarak kullanılması gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle programın uygulanmasında aşağıdaki hususlara dikkat edilmektedir:
• Öğrenme ve öğretme süreci planlanırken bireyin performans düzeyi, özellikleri ile öğrenme şekilleri dikkate alınmaktadır.
• Destek eğitim için kullanılan sürenin sonunda belirlenen hedefe ulaşılabilmesi için zaman kullanımı en doğru şekilde planlanmaktadır.
• Öğrenme ve öğretme sürecinde uygun strateji, yöntem, araç gereç ve materyaller seçilmektedir.
• Programda yer alan etkinliklerin, somuttan soyuta, kolaydan zora doğru aşamalı olarak hazırlanmasına ve uygulanmasına dikkat edilmektedir.
• Çalışmalarda kullanılan dilin ve uygulanan etkinliklerin bireyin yaşına ve özelliklerine uygun olmasına özen gösterilmektedir.
• Günlük yaşamda bireylerin etkili iletişim kurabilmeleri ve iletişim stratejilerini kullanabilmeleri için uygun ortamlar hazırlanarak etkinlikler çeşitlendirilmektedir.
